The revamping is the process by the equipment used in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries are subjected to intense review.
The revamping is necessary when the machinery:
-can no longer fulfill their function in an efficient and productive function, resulting in increased costs;
-their state of wear is no longer compatible with the hygienic production required by food and pharmaceutical industries;
-no longer provide the minimum safety requirements.
The most frequent causes of revamping is the adaptation of the equipment to the regulatory compliance (such as PED and ATEX)
The cost of revamping is less than the expenditure incurred for the purchase of new machinery.
