Safety, automation and flexibility are the key features of the new generation of chemical plants
The development has forced pharmaceutical companies to look at manufacturers of pharmaceutical plants with certain requirements.
The buyers of machinery and pharmaceutical plants also have other needs such as using equipment according to the most important safety regulations (PED, ATEX) and subjected to severe tests.
Pharmaceutical plants are designed to operate on a continuous cycle, and any downtime represents a cost; for this reason, chemical-pharmaceutical equipment must undergo rigorous testing and commissioning procedures.
Maintenance intervals must be carefully planned: anomalies, faults, and malfunctions are not tolerated in the pharmaceutical plants of a large company.
The plants are often intended for high risk pharmaceutical production due to critical conditions of pressure, temperature and potentially explosive substances.
For this reason, the design and construction of pharmaceutical plants is done in close collaboration with the customer, in order to calibrate the size of the machinery on the basis of a single process.
Pharmaceutical plants are then supplied to the industry on a turnkey basis, once all specific requirements have been met.
