The service
With the aim of meeting customers’ needs in applying specific technologies to their production processes, Pilotta S.r.l. announces the availability of a liquid–liquid extraction unit for semi-scale trials.
The unit features a 100 mm diameter chemical glass column and a set of 20 extraction cells, each equipped with its own turbine to ensure the most suitable level of mixing.
It is complemented by top and bottom column separators made of Hastelloy for maximum operational flexibility, with fully visible ends.
Fluid circulation, designed for a total flow rate ranging from 50 to 200 L/h depending on the physical properties of the substances, is achieved by peristaltic pumps with EPDM tubing, ensuring high resistance to most fluids.
Manual adjustment is carried out via a handwheel.
The system is completed by a weir arrangement for controlling the lower interface and an ATEX-compliant electrical control panel, in line with the rest of the unit.
The panel also includes an inverter for adjusting the agitator’s rotational speed.
