Extraction Plants

Pilotta s.r.l. builds custom-built extraction systems for specific customer needs:
– extraction of Benzyl Serine (trade name) from a solution of Benzyl Alcohol with Toluene;
– caffeine extraction from decaffeination wastewater (extraction medium: recycled methylene chloride in a closed-loop process using in-line distillation);
– caffeine extraction from coffee waxes. Extraction is conducted in the molten state (90°C) using hot brine in a jacketed column.

A simple yet effective pilot unit is available for semi-scale trials.

Support is also provided for the start-up of laboratory trials.
