In the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries mixing tanks are made according to specific characteristics.
Although mixing tanks differ considerably from each other we can identify some characteristics of the finished product:
– the pressure and temperature of using must be well specified
– the equipment must compliance with the PED rules (Directive 97/23 EC)
– the presence of a bubbler at the bottom
– the presence of a suitable external surface finish (generally anti-rust paint)
– on the mixer at least a electro agitation group is required
– the material that in contact with the product must be suitable
The same design process must also comply with VSR regulations.
