Legislation to build pressure vessels

The pressure equipment must be manufactured according to PED legislation

For the production of pressure vessels, manufacturers are required to comply with the product directive PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) which sets out the design criteria to be met.

The construction of pressure vessels is required in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, where many processes occur at high pressures and where many raw materials, such as gas, are stored under high pressure.

The PED regulation requires manufacturers to produce a risk assessment (VDR) which takes into account the use of pressure equipment, designs and installs.

The purpose of the PED is to ensure that already in the implementation, for pressure vessels are taken into account the safety and accident prevention equipment in the entire pressure already from the design.

Thanks to the PED regulations, the manufacture of pressure equipment is now safer.
