The chemical reactors can be divided into 2 main groups:
1 – continuous chemical reactors, those that operate in a continuous cycle and which are only stopped for maintenance
2 – discontinuous chemical reactors that operate according to a scheme which provides for the filling and emptying of the reaction with the stops more or less long between a working cycle and another (the typical example are the batch reactors)
